THE MUMBAI TAMASHA

Hello ! This is my first blog and as you see, I dedicate it to my city, Mumbai.
There is an extreme tension in mumbai over the Shah Rukh Khan - Shiv Sena row with none of them trying to take a back step. This has surely not been liked by any Mumbaikar and I, too, been one of them I criticise the on going situation completely.
The whole episode started when SRK explained the media that his team wanted to , but did not take , Pakistani players when the auction was on for the 2010 IPL matches scheduled to start from march. This statement provoked the Shiv Sena for it has always protested the participation of pakistani players for matches in India. Also, they had completely lost their ground on the Marathi Manus Issue which is highjacked successfully by the MNS. With an intention of making the most of this opportunity , the Shiv Sena has tighten its take on SRK.
It is true that the sins of pakistan terrorists can never be forgiven. The pak prez is still not ready to assure that there shall be no another 26- 11 in India in the future. And with such an attitude of the Pakistanis, I still am not able to understand why it was India first to extend a proposal of talks with the Terrorist country? The government's stand is extremely pathetic and unexpected !
All I want to say is that we simply dont want any relation- good or bad with pakistan. I am not saying that there should be no talks with the neighbours. But an initiative from them was expected.
Anyways, with so much political astablity with the Pakistan, it would have been better if he would have not jumped into the matter. However what he said was completely lawful and i support him completely. The disguise against him should stop immediately and the matter should be closed. Atleast this is what a common man like me would expect. But that simply doesn't look like happening . The government is on the backfoot with regards to its security concerns.
Finally, i hope that the govt takes the right steps in restoring peace back in Mumbai. Its high time these GODFATHERS of Mumbai destroy the public property. Mr Chavan ,Its time to act now!
